Cloud FinOps Analyst

For more than two decades, Orange Logic has empowered a wide range of clients with its digital asset management system, Orange Logic Platform. We’ve worked with almost every industry, from Finance to NGOs, Media giants to educational institutions; securing and organizing their assets. In this role, you will work very closely with the Information Technology and Finance leadership teams. You will be in charge of the full FinOps Lifecycle (Inform, Optimize, and Operate). 

What you can expect in your role: 

• Develop the FinOps function from the ground up
• Permanent Cost Optimization for all Cloud providers
• Plan, manage and deliver all FinOps projects
• Support the Finance and IT teams at each step of the FinOps Lifecycle
• Create FinOps best practices across the board, with cost optimization, efficiency and stability in mind at all times
• Organize data-driven and proactive financial management of our cloud tenants
• Use analytical techniques to assess spending patterns, identify trends, cost inefficiencies and cost drivers
• Provide billing reports to Finance, related to AWS, Azure and GCP client pass-through costs
• Work with Sales to determine estimated client storage and hosting pass-through costs
• Work with internal departments to determine budgets and monitor spend
• Propose and implement efficient and actionable solutions to all FinOps challenges (including, but not limited to: cost optimization, reservation & plan management, forecasting, usage reporting, cost visibility)
• Effectively communicate with business stakeholders, share analytical findings and proposed solutions to facilitate a common understanding of our current strategies and forecasting.

You are: 

• Demonstrated understanding of FinOps processes, strategies and methods
• Excellent knowledge of Cloud Infrastructures, especially AWS (but Azure and GCP as well)
• Familiar knowledge of cloud cost management tools (such as CloudHealth, Cloudability or others)
• Obtained a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a similar position
• Good understanding of a SaaS platform & business model
• Ability to prioritize, manage projects, and communicate effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior experience with Google Workspace preferred 
• Advanced Excel and / or Google Sheets user  
• Experience developing systems that improve cost optimization and efficiency
• Growth mindset and interest in giving and receiving feedback with the goal of constantly improving
• Excellent effectiveness strategies (organization, time management, and follow-up skills)
• Results & detail oriented and committed to operational excellence
• Self-sufficient with the ability to ask questions and request help when needed

Compensation: 

The target compensation for this position is $50,000 - 100,000  in most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above
